Q: What is a content management system?

A:  A content management system is a tool that enables the owner of a website to update the information on their site without the need to contact their webmaster.

Usually the sites' owner logs in to a control panel in a secure area of their site and is able to make changes to text, site layout, images, databases etc. The changes then show up immediately on the site*.

Sloomedia has two distinct varieties of content management system available. These consist of our keystone product 'SM1' which is targeted at small businesses and entry to mid-level e-commerce operations. 

We also offer another product called Platform Basic which is ideal for larger organisations and top end e-commerce systems which require extra control over every aspect of the site.
